Apple?!?

Come on people! Who names their kid after a fruit? Gwenyth Paltrow & Chris Martin apparently. This is not acceptable. This is not like naming your child after a loved relative or even an esteemed colleaue -- it's a fruit. The editors of Salt magazine do not approve or endorse naming your children after (1) Food, (2) Clothing, (3) Kitchen Appliances, hell let's say (4) Inanimate Objects.

Gene would also to kick off the controversy by suggesting that states, while proper nouns, are not proper names for children. (And I have a cousin named Dakota! Sorry, baby -ed)
