For those of you who love the search capabilities of Google, but are obsessed with the way Friendster shows you your links with people, try kartoo.com! It's a search engine that displays results as an interconnected web (the graphic on the left is the result of searching for "Gene Perelson"). It's the ultimate six degrees of separation.
Beat the Google!
Sometimes, when I'm feeling really bored (and haven't had human interaction all day) I play games with Google. Being an inanimate search engine, it has no choice but to do what I say. Here is a challenge: find Google searches that come up with no results. The shorter your search request, the more points you get for stumping Google. For example, putting something in quotes like "Hah! Just try to find this quote, ice cream midgets with broccoli spears! Ramalama Ding Dong!" is not going to get you many points. However, something like "Feminine Pistols" (which, incidentally, brings back no search results), will earn you praise in the eyes of many. Or, at least, several points in this game.
